Welcome to Flat Four Garage. By accessing or using flatfourgarage.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using flatfourgarage.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Flat Four Garage. 2. Description of Service

Flat Four Garage provides educational content, guidance, and resources to help American Subaru owners make informed decisions about buying, maintaining, repairing, and living with their vehicles. Our content is based on practical experience from a former dealership service advisor and is intended to help you decode symptoms, understand repair estimates, navigate recalls, and evaluate model choices.

The information provided on flatfourgarage.com is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional mechanical diagnosis, repair services, or manufacturer recommendations. We do not provide direct repair services, sell parts, or operate as a licensed automotive repair facility.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Certain features of the Site may require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify Flat Four Garage immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

You may not use another person's account without permission, create multiple accounts for abusive purposes, or transfer your account to another party without our prior written consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any material from our Site without prior written consent from Flat Four Garage, except as follows:

  • Your computer may temporarily store copies of such materials in RAM incidental to your accessing and viewing those materials

  • You may store files that are automatically cached by your web browser for display enhancement purposes

  • You may print or download one copy of a reasonable number of pages for your own personal, non-commercial use

The Flat Four Garage name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Flat Four Garage. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

6. User Content

The Site may allow you to post, submit, or transmit content, including comments, questions, reviews, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in your User Content. By submitting User Content to flatfourgarage.com, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in any media.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, edit, or remove any User Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We do not endorse any User Content or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein.

7. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES PROVIDED ON FLATFOURGARAGE.COM ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. FLAT FOUR GARAGE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the content on the Site in terms of accuracy, reliability, or otherwise.

The automotive guidance and information provided on Flat Four Garage is based on general experience and should not be considered professional mechanical advice specific to your vehicle. Every vehicle and situation is unique. We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified, certified mechanic for diagnosis and repair of your specific vehicle. Flat Four Garage is not responsible for any decisions you make based on information found on our Site.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FLAT FOUR GARAGE, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Site

  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Site

  • Any content obtained from the Site

  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

  • Vehicle repairs, maintenance decisions, or purchases made based on information from flatfourgarage.com

IN NO EVENT SHALL FLAT FOUR GARAGE'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO FLAT FOUR GARAGE IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Flat Four Garage, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your violation of these Terms of Service

  • Your use of the Site, including but not limited to your User Content

  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to flatfourgarage.com immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Site will immediately cease.

You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Site and, if applicable, deleting your account through the account settings or by contacting us directly.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including without limitation ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or related to them, their subject matter, or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule.

Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.

12. Changes to Terms

Flat Four Garage reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We may also notify you through other means, such as email if you have provided one.

Your continued use of flatfourgarage.com following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes. You are expected to check this page periodically so you are aware of any changes.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired, and such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Flat Four Garage on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and Flat Four Garage concerning your use of flatfourgarage.com and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and Flat Four Garage.
